just reflecting on our spinnaker use, and it always seems to be a popular discussion among sailors, now this works for us, it may not for you but when i first got into "spinnakers" i couldn't be bothered with the faff of a pole, nor did i want to start modifying the rig extensively.

equally i wanted to get the spinnaker up in 5 minutes without causing an argument and the the crew to resort to a mutiny!

i also wanted a simple rig i could manage in a blow and get rid of quickly, but i wanted that extra speed!

So i made my own ATN tacker for £13 and started flying my spinnaker as shown in this short video, i will show you how to rig it, hoist it, douse it.

and now even on short hour trips im more than happy to get the spinnaker out because its simple, fast, and easy to handle
