CIVITAVECCHIA – Historical courses and recurrences: after 54 years the Lni Civitavecchia has once again boarded the Palinuro ship with three young members: Cristian Scaccia, Leonardo Ricci and Alfredo Lauteri.
Fifty-four years ago, the then very young Civitavecchia athletes Marco Corti and Marco Ceccarelli represented the city section: both had Marco's father, Pompedio Corti, as tutors.
Professor Marco Corti grew up at Lni Civitavecchia and has held all roles: first he was an athlete, then an excellent windsurfing and sailing technician, president and DS of the Sports Club and advisor to the Fiv.
Today he is one of the best known and loved members.
In all these years no other young person from the Lni joined Palinuro until last summer when, to take the baton and continue in the footsteps of Marco Corti, were these three very young members returning from a truly special adventure.
Scaccia, Ricci and Lauteri were winners of a Navy tender and were embarked on the training ship for ten days. Cristian Scaccia and Alfredo Lauteri (both born in 2006) and Ricci (2005) excellently represented the local section of the Lni with great satisfaction of the president Dario Iacoponi and all the members who congratulated them.
Above all, Cristian Scaccia - nephew of Marco Corti among other things - being a fourth year student at the Nautical Institute, kept the colors of Civitavecchia and Calamatta high. Both were on board for ten days: Ricci and Lauteri on the La Maddalena Messina stretch, while Scaccia on the stretch from Messina, Malta and Brindisi from 6 to 18 August.
