It’s an experience that shapes character, strengthens the spirit, and enhances the sense of responsibility and belonging.
On board the schooner Palinuro, every activity is a fundamental step in the training process: from sail management to celestial navigation, from life on board to military discipline. Each day presents a challenge, a lesson, an opportunity to become part of a united and determined crew.
On May 25, the 2024 Training Campaign began. The crew of the Palinuro, made up of permanent-service military personnel and 32 cadets from the Italian Navy’s Non-Commissioned Officer School in Taranto, set sail from La Spezia for a journey that will take them to the ports of La Maddalena, Monaco, Civitavecchia, Ancona, Trieste, Venice, Kotor, Bari, and Taranto.
During the campaign, cadets from the 1st class of the Naval Academy’s regular course, the "Francesco Morosini" Naval Military School, and other Italian and foreign military schools will also come aboard. They will share in the onboard training activities, promoting integration and intercultural exchange.
