Kent, England - A talking parrot was among the crew rescued

when a yacht broke down off Leysdown.The 45ft vessel suffered engine failure.

 

Spokesman Vic Booth said: "Two men, a lady and a talkative parrot were onboard.

"The craft was on passage from Faversham Creek to a mooring at Hoo Marina when it suffered engine failure and was at anchor approximately 1.8 nautical miles off Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey."

 

 

The crew also helped rescue two people stranded on an 11m cabin cruiser which broke down and was left high and dry on a mud flat near Nore Marsh on the River Medway on Friday.
