Nearby Vessels have also been damaged.

The extinguising process  of the catamaran on fire at Marina Alimou has been completed. The fire broke out at 4.30am on Tuesday morning. The boat, completely destroyed, was out of water for repairs.

The fire department rushed to the scene with eight vehicles and 25 firefighters. 

The guard at Marina Alimou alerted the Fire Dept. as soon as he noticed  the flames.

There were no occupants on the boat when the  fire started. The mast of the boat collapsed due to the intensity of the fire.

The causes of the fire are not known yet, but investigation by the Fire Dept. already started.
