Organizing Authority
The ORC European Championship 2016 is organized by the Nautical Club of Thessaloniki under the authority of the Hellenic Sailing Federation and under the overall authority of the Offshore Racing Congress (ORC).
Races will be held in the Toroneos Gulf and the North Aegean Sea.
The start of the competition and the skippers’ meeting will be held at Porto Carras in Halkidiki, which is also the headquarters of the event.
Participating boats will be moored in the marina of Porto Carras.
Porto Carras Grand Resort is located in Sithonia peninsula, one and a half hour drive from Thessaloniki, the second largest city of Greece, featuring an international airport and commercial port.
Thessaloniki airport is connected with all major European airports with direct flights or via Athens international airport.
Porto Carras is set alongside sandy beaches and coves, giving teams the opportunity to enjoy world class racing in a luxury holiday resort.
Entries and Entry Fee
Eligible boats may enter by completing the on-line registration form at http://orci.ncth.gr, and
providing a copy of the yacht’s rating certificate before the start of the championship to Nautical Club of Thessaloniki.
The non-refundable entry fee per boat is as follows:
Class A until 30/4/2016 500€
Class A until 31/5/2016 700€
Class A after 31/5/2016 900€
Class B until 30/4/2016 400€
Class B until 31/5/2016 700€
Class B after 31/5/2016 900€
Class C until 30/4/2016 400€
Class C until 31/5/2016 700€
Class C after 31/5/2016 900€
Furthermore, an entry fee of 30€ per crew member is required.
The first 20 boats to enter the championship will receive 100€ refund of the entry fee.
