So *this* is what cruising in the South Pacific is all about...

After a life-changing experience with the fishermen we rescued, we headed off to explore more of the Pacific islands. A large atoll called Kauehi was our next stop. We made the most of the gorgeous weather and went scuba diving with sharks, snorkeling with tropical fish and using our Our kayaks through passes.

As with all good things, our sunny days had to come to an end. We experienced our first tropical rainstorm and really put our Beneteau Oceanis sailboat to the test.

after an unforgettable week with our new

fisherman friends we needed to push on

westward through the Tuamotus

these islands are atolls or submerged

volcanoes the ring shaped islands you

see are actually the rim of the volcano

inside you'll find bright coral reefs

and spectacular teal water riding into

town in Callaway

anchored between the coral heads

and yep that's what South Pacific should

look like

cooee he is one of the larger atolls in

the to emoto's and has a small village

on the island we went to shore in search

of ice cream but learn the supply ship

was on strike and we were out of luck

with empty hands we walked back to the

dinghy but not without coming across the

coconut grab Jose tried employing some

techniques he learned but the crab

didn't seem too passionate about coming

to dinner they woke me up like an hour

ago

and she said oh my gosh you have to come

outside check out the sunrise it was

incredible bright pink colors just lit

up the whole sky the water was teal and

turquoise just incredible so we decided

to go for a sunrise paddle in our kayak

and check out this part of the atoll

that we're in we called Kahoot II when

Jose doesn't know is that when we get

back to the boat there's going to be a

local Frenchman scuba instructor who is

going to take him on his introductory

scuba trip and today for his birthday

an empty Anchorage in the southern part

of vehicle we had heard that the pink

sandy beaches were a perfect place to be

the sunset

whole beach is lit up we can barely see

it that's positive you know more woke up

in the middle of the night to a

torrential downpour I mean like a

tropical torrential downpour it's like a

bucket and know it's like the whole

ocean just flipped upside down and is

coring itself all over the boat the

Bieber has water coming in from every

hatch same thing in the saloon but Jose

got up in the middle of the night to

make the most of this fresh water and he

put all the laundry out to get what

I'm explaining what's going on put the

laundry out and put buckets out to catch

water and fill up our water tanks

it hasn't started it's gotten a lot

later them

and we will show you at new

of course now that we've run out here

put our soap in every receptacle

possible gotten all of our laundry

soaking wet the sky is starting to clear
