Someone wise once said I “you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory”. Well, that person was indeed wise. After wasting a week of precious Polynesian paradise playing on the internet and lazying around the boat, the universe decided to teach us a lesson: SHIT CAN GET REALLY ROUGH.

I once heard a quote that went something
like sometimes you will never know the
value of a moment until it becomes a
memory well those were wise words after
wasting a week in French Polynesian
paradise being lazy and playing on the
Internet the universe decided to teach
us a lesson all the way I did this in
order what's going on
[Music]
since the books that's bobbing up and
down seem really tense
so again laughing right and it can
damage the fraud
[Music]
basicall I don't think it's really coral
as monthly just rocks dead coral more
gently but yes you are so what did you
get sickness
all talking Bober witness
shame and we went forward with this I
kind of forced them so so are we on pups
now yeah so down there on the team we've
got to get to buoy what the boobies do
is they floating up they think we're
good now I think we're now very
seneschal for good night
yep all right okay once the anchor chain
was reset we got back to our evening but
it wasn't long before Jose heard some
massive smelly flying fish on deck oh
now what's going on what
[Music]
[Music]
yeah totally crazy
the next day we reset the anchor again
and felt pretty confident this time that
we were good to go this is the second
night in a row
Oh
[Music]
now we're dragging I don't know if we're
closer to that became or not I think we
are going extender Oh super gassy a
super diesel very limited
[Applause]
oh my god
[Applause]
another night another problem yeah we
had had enough of messing with our
anchor in crappy conditions and decided
it was time to move on with no mainsail
and just a slice of the genoa out we
were hauling through heavy wind morning
was was a rude awakening we knew we had
dragged in for a little bit so kind of
slept with an eye open all night
and sure enough this morning as soon as
Sun rises we drag like another 50 200
feet onto the buoy at the entrance to
the channel so we decided to leave a
little earlier than we expected which
means we can prepare as well we had our
kewal towing and the line snap it's
blowing like spanked it's blowing like
in the 30s for the Gus we got very
little sail up
[Music]
our line snapped on the seawall you can
see what remains of it right there Gina
did a spectacular rescue maneuver and
did all the right things we got to got
it back help us get them on board on
track we did that anchor dance the
anchored amputation guys don't know was
people who love each other start yelling
at each other anchor just because it's
stressful in city that's a silly way to
wake up we rep some of the tabs off of
our solar panels off the spumoni is
ready to go we're playing on redoing it
a New Zealand but it's just falling
apart with kind of weather and now we've
seen a couple whales we just have to
make sure they stay at a distance you
know today we've had enough adventure
for the day not tied off please tell us
about your rescue mission ha ha Nutella
oh that's sick lolly in the wind I woke
up for the third time this morning it
screams that we needed to hurry up and
get moving because we were not to thread
right onto the reef and after about 30
minutes of canaan going with the anchor
we end up getting up getting moving but
we have all of our toys in the water so
lazily I'm kind of in a rush we just
start dragging behind us like we do our
zinging for our short classes
and the line that we man he will attach
to growth so we had to go figure eight
Man Overboard style and pick it up out
of the water it's copying bumpy out here
that is definitely not not as easy as it
could've been
[Music]
ah
look
[Music]
thank you oh we made it to land but our
troubles weren't over just yet what's
going on I'm going to hold that up
miss Burke granola in the air sign it
smell for burnt stops I don't know like
you check oh don't turn the camera off
now another one shiny kinda like gone
wrong intentions are good
maybe overheating come in men like a
foot deep Walker is where we see both
the inverter and the generator and
everything else will you Aaron gauge
that could be that could be a [ __ ] fuel
filter like out that Oh bill nearby
laughing our friends over there I'm an
Athena our total froze and have been
very helpful the previous problem
that our smoke yeah that's copra that's
what they burn it's coconut husk bring
to keep the bugs away
as Jose zipped off to get some
mechanical help I had my own mess to
deal with I was trying to find more
Nutella to try my granola recipe over
again since I've burnt the first batch
and we usually keep all of our extras in
the build some to the floor and of
course I got my own little surprise I go
to find the Grinnell Earth a Nutella and
instead I find that another can has
exploded in the build and left me with a
big sticky rusty mess and now bugs are
coming just because of this thing sounds
like the generator is running yeah what
are the fuses or one of the relays
that's called kind of not working very
long it's all I did was take it in and
out and swap it flop places
so I guess things just kind of corrode
when you're on a boat so what is this do
that I mean this is good it's like a
bunch of Legos these are just brand new
fuses there's a good-looking one oh and
there's a corroded one and that's just
from sitting in the box you can't really
see but it gets like a little Coast
coating of rust that's just I'm sitting
in a box dry well things just stopped
working stairs down but sometimes summer
but this is an easy fix and yeah once
you know what it is yeah it's running
that's always a good night
all of a sudden we heard a loud pop
scared it with the generator we rushed
outside only to realize soup can
exploded leaving a thick creamy mess all
over the galley so today it has been
like perfectly still absolutely gorgeous
the water was flat the Sun was shining
not even a tiny bit of breeze and
decided I would try to take our garbage
to shore then time to get rid of the
trash and it didn't know and you have
another opportunity to do it and of
course like Murphy's Law the second that
I get on the paddleboard and make it to
shore a torrential downpour sir like a
real tropical you see them
as if we hadn't dealt with enough Jose
accidentally took his boat yoga practice
to a new level
oh [ __ ]
NEP port ass Locker let's see how check
out my mention barely got a single
outside maybe iPads outside we can
connect it to our radio and music have
internet no hang on and what you've got
the iPod outside where are all these
plugs
well these a little accessory that I
just put together so we have a longer
cable flashy resist I think isn't so
charges we use it so much that it
charges
what if you plugged it instead to our
goal zero solar panel charger outside we
could do that this is let's see does it
work
so change the song I got to be out here
okay so far enough damn it'd be nice to
listen to some new stuff
yeah commerce different tired with this
up
