welcome back to sales and tales in our

last video we were searching for a

Bluewater capable sailboat and after a

few months of searching well we

discovered that we just don't have a

clue what we're looking for then we

decided to look for something smaller so

we made an offer and then after a couple

of counteroffers we are now ready for

the survey sea trout on this Catalina 30

and today's surveys can be in a Tintin

North Carolina located on the inner

banks of the Albemarle Sound

when we arrived at the marina we found

that the boat was already up in flames

the owner had hauled it out the night

before so that we could get an early

start to the day

but unfortunately nobody noticed that

one of the slings was covering the shaft

this was our first hallo and we did not

know what to expect but we were pretty

taken back by this unique setup when

ended the traveler was attached to the

back of this flatbed truck and that's

how it moved back and forth and the

other end was on wheels in these tracks

and the slings were operated with help

from this generator here kind of a crazy

setup but with a little patience it

worked back to the shaft our surveyor

was obviously concerned that the shop

could possibly be bent but after a

lengthy assessment in the help of his

micrometer he assured us that everything

was absolutely fine

all right so the survey went really well

and we're up here in Portsmouth Virginia

because there was no banking to be done

down in rural North Carolina we are just

tying up the last-minute details of the

USCG document and the processing the

payment and then she's ours well I guess

she is ours

she is our high five new boat owners so

now all we have to do is move her from

the owner slipped find a slip on some

twist footer yeah so yeah

we moved the boat from hurled slip and

brought her into the Edenton city docks

we were more than happy to pull up to

this tea dock without any trouble

perfect right well not so much little

did we know then that this would be a

terrible mistake it's been a long day

okay running around doing all the

paperwork you look put in our name we

figured we would John is that by now

what didn't work out that way so we're

gonna drop back to little Washington

meet the adults and bunch of supplies

and come back up here
