we are taking you to Lawton Island today
the third largest sand island in the
world located 20 nautical miles
northeast of Brisbane

and it looks like someone else is also
sailing to Martin Ireland today

see some of the Sandhills in the
distance there

and here's Martin Ireland it's a
protected sand island and it's known for
its beaches and steep sand dunes
[Music]
tango luma Island Resort is the jewel of
Moreton Bay in the islands region
activities on offer include odd bike
tours marine Discovery cruise a desert
safari tour with Santa balcony
snorkeling the wrecks and the star
attraction is Fran fitting a pod of
bottlenose dolphins looks like some guys
are camping on the island here and you
can see a helicopter coming down as well

there's no roads on the island so a
four-wheel drive is needed to drag
around

we are now just north of tango luma
island resort and these are the tangka
Lunar X a cluster of ships scuttled by
the Queensland Government between 1963
and 1984 is to provide a safe Anchorage
for recreational boat owners on the
eastern side of Moreton Bay

this is Andrew snorkeling around the Rex
Cole has formed in and around and is
providing a haven for over hundred
species of fish and sometimes dolphins
wobbler lungs and do dogs a total of
fifteen vessels was like five in 1963
five in the 1970s and a further five in
the 1980s
