first dawn join the crew of the math lab
as we visit the Galapagos Islands
these unique isolated Islands have given
birth to amazing creatures birds and
plants that you will find nowhere else
on the planet
and inspired a young child's Darwin who
created a theory of evolution and we
would never see the world the same again
we covered about a hundred and thirty
miles since we've left Marina Chiapas
we've had an amazing day of fishing the
winds were light and it was a peaceful
night
but no matter how peaceful the Night
Watch is is only to release to have dawn
finally breaks Nick and I had elected to
do the midnight to 6 a.m. watch and we
found out some experience that if
anything's gonna happen it's gonna
happen at night be that tiny dog no
horizon that's right it was a big
freighter and the radar didn't pick it
up because we discovered it wasn't
working actually a gremlin had come on
board because all kinds of things were
no longer working
although the boys had really worked hard
to get the boat ready it's hard when a
boat sits at a marina in the tropical
heat you can expect the unexpected the
freezer wasn't working the sailing
instruments weren't working the water
filter wasn't there but hey that's the
sailing world that's life on board
with the asymmetric spinnaker out taking
advantage of the five knot winds and
calm seas and e5u good time give us a
little lesson a little bit concerned
about all the Pangos we saw that have
been confiscated I would say very
concerned certainly an issue all the all
the confiscated impounded Pangos and to
know they're they they confiscated from
drug smugglers they weren't running
cocaine out here from Colombia we're
passing right through that area and
we're going far enough offshore where
which is where they go right to stay out
of range of shore patrols Lumbee to
Mexico three big motors on it
the best strategy is to just simply
ignore them don't look don't wave
pretend you didn't see anything with the
excitement of the anti pirate lesson
moving over we relaxed and less gentle
waves take us the good news is the water
makers we're king and that means salads
for everyone
we admired the guys pulling in the
spinnaker the thing of beauty there was
always something to do on the boat nice
is good and there's fresh tuna for
dinner from yesterday by the end of the
day we're 170 miles offshore of El
Salvador in our next video we get
nighttime visitors and things start to
get a little rocky hey guys if you like
this video don't forget to give us a
thumbs up down below or subscribe
here we are day two life's a blast
