This time we set off with grey skies and a tormented sea, so we play it safe and do some manoeuvres in the channel. With much courage, Mickey made good on his promise to swim in the frigid waters. We went back to Leucate for more flavourful fun at the Sol y Fiesta festival and we were warmed to be once again enchanted by surprising street performances. The little town of Leucate knows how to throw a party!

we have put antifouling on the gauge to
speed in temperature sensor put three
coats of special antifouling for the
gauge here that's going to go through
the C on the through hall so now
we're gonna put it back into place
oh now it ready
what there we go
girls in the right direction that's it
okay now we just need to soak up the
water we have about a liter of water
maybe two liters in there and not a
problem we're ready to go and test it
out
me and me kid and not go out to sea
you've got about two meter waves and
they're crashing over the the rocks the
jetty there so we're like you know and
the winds not that strong so we didn't
want to tempt fate so we're doing some
exercises here in the pond so we hooked
up to the buoy did a few tries we kept
up trying to blame me and but we
eventually did it so we're all tied up
now I'm gonna raise the main sail
because I need to fold it better and the
wind is just perfect to do that now here
because I'm I'll have I'll be facing the
wind
whereas in Marina I was the wind was
behind me so
today the water region Mika had been
going on about swimming in the Med in
May and he courageously took a very
short cold the water is nice and cold if
you can swim back to the beach friends
about these two hopping inside the water
doing some exercise here in the pond
which is the genoise turn around and
just kind of fool around with the
genoise here because the waves are just
way too big
out in the open ocean itself kids are
worried that we're not gonna be able to
turn around but he has nothing to worry
about so we just tacked in the harbor
just to Jen okay or just to Genoa UK was
worried once again and then one team saw
that I maneuver just fine chilled out
awesome boat and
doing three knots just with to Genoa so
cool pretty lucky to have tied
win so we can go up and down this um
this pawn here oh here we go
Oh lift nice so we did some exercises
now we're gonna try to dock in as best
as possible a bit of a wind that's gonna
make it tricky so we'll see
we went back to the Solent Chester
Festival and look at town and once again
we were delighted by the spontaneous
street performances
so we're in another restaurant here that
was recommended in the little cat town
it's called a bodega flamingo and what's
interesting about this place is that
it's all decorated with Spanish themes
and
toreador
but my posters it sounds really cool
and of course me care was keen on trying
another local
it's called the bother in touch but I'd
also appreciate
thanks Megan
and I'm having food ma'am in other words
Seawolf
but
in my 55 years I've seen a lot and it
was mostly by traveling on land and now
I witnessed a cultural event because I'm
travelling by the seas and I've just
began my winded voyage
this is exactly the kind of discoveries
I hope to make on my journey unexpected
and surprising foreign yet local
the world is full of surprises around
every corner at every port and I haven't
even left yet but I've already gone far
the oceans are wide open door to the
edges of the earth the beauty of nature
and humanity this is what I hope to
continue to experience and share
