last time on sailing Bella Chandra we

did the East River to New York City then

sailed to Cape May and then on to

Beaufort North Carolina got a pretty big

shark here in the water that kind of

spins up just outside of Beaufort North

Carolina kind of hovering here in the

water and this shark just decided to

show up big boy

we're in Beaufort North Carolina this is

the first time we have to hide off at a

marina I'm so excited we've been staying

at Buford dogs they have been wonderful

here they have showers and you

and water they also have courtesy cars

once you check in they give you three

free drinks at the bar next order it's

so great to be tied up we didn't go in

hard

since Nova Scotia we've been here for

older nights we're gonna set sail

start making a way itself maybe

Charlestown finally I feel like I'm on

vacation

there is no grocery shopping closeby or

liquor stores so it is quite handy to

have those courtesy car is accessible to

you it's a great dog friendly town

there's bowls of water at every doorstep

pretty much

we are heading to Charleston we left

Beaufort last night in the dark sailed

all night long and now the winds kind of

light now so remoter sailing a little so

we can make good time we'll probably

sail overnight again and in the morning

we'll be in Charleston in South Carolina

almost in the bottomless we're very

close now it's warm

no more jackets no more winter clothing

which is awesome god Zeus here check it

out the water what you think there's a

bear yeah you like it

we're gonna try some fishing this is the

first time that we've tried fishing

outside of Nova Scotia waters where we

were catching haddock mackerel and stuff

like that

I've heard that squid is really ideal

for trying to catch tunas mahi-mahi so I

kind of rigged up a squid with a hook on

it and some weights

well this sucks our line broke here I

don't know what happened we don't have

much line left there's maybe less than

half the line we have a four I think

when we get to Charleston we're going to

buy some new line if anyway that's the

end of fishing for the day

it's my early birthday celebrations

since we'll be out to sea on my actual

birthday although I was told that when

it's your birthday on a boat that it's

wherever that person wants to do that

oh man we're getting so close to this

cargo ship it's crazy opens weeks not

too bad we're just in the channel

leaving Charleston here we're just

outside Charleston South Carolina just

left there this morning and we are

sailing for Florida trying to make it

much ground as we can we have three

three and a half days it's really good

wind constantly blowing down the coast

so it makes the coastal passage like

this really ideal let's see how far we

can get new Jacksonville

maybe farther so we're gonna give it a

go we're gonna dang

besides open vámanos dolphins there's so

many there's really playful we going st.

Augustine we're gonna meet up with our

friend ourselves

we are in st. Augustine Florida we just

got here last night technically we kind

of waited out in the harbor and then

this morning when the tide shifted and

the Sun started to come up we came in

and got her anchorage after a little nap

we're ready to go and we're wearing

t-shirts and shorts it's like 25 degrees

we're in Florida in the winter it's like

freezing back home I think they had a

snowstorm just yesterday or something

crazy anyway we're here we have a friend

just across the bay over here she sailed

all the way down here I think she took

the ICW

we did the outside route so we were able

to do it faster and we caught up with

her and I'm pretty sure she left like

two months ahead of us but you know

that's the ICW

next stop down towards Miami and then

we'll cross over the Bahamas and spend

the rest of our time over in the

Caribbean it's beautiful

we're gonna check out st. Augustine
