easy

we spent one day at Norman's key it was

nice to have an anchorage all to

ourselves for a change as there were

boats with us the entire way we did some

exploring just the two of us and it was

nice to have the beach all to ourselves

crazy old drinking well kind of a cave -

so we're island-hopping we've made it to

shroud key so far this is my favorite

spawn shroud Keys the first island in

the Exuma land and sea park and so far

it is not disappointed it is beautiful

the Exuma land and sea park is a

protected area it was the first ever

land and sea park established in the

world and is home to the western

hemisphere second largest coral Barrier

Reef the protected area extends from

trap K in the north to bail K in the

south

today's underway meal spam canned corn

canned crema corn canned green beans

potato salt pepper and sugar it's

actually quite delicious even though it

doesn't look it I guess this is what the

east side of the Caribbean islands were

at looks like today not very much fun I

don't see too many sailboats out there

yeah we tried to do the blowholes but I

think they don't work at low tide I'm

just gonna stand there nothing happens

so we may not do the blow hole well

we're at the famous booboo Hill here in

the Exuma Park that's us down there damn

near run aground on sand they have a

very narrow little channel with some

mooring balls that you can tie to but I

noticed last night that our rudder was

actually sitting at this end so I think

we're gonna move the boat before the big

wind we got tonight what do you think

it's not uncommon to see a shark

swimming around under your boat in the

Bahamas most of the Sharks here are

harmless but caution should always be

taken around sharks so you can see that

I used some boarding bridles that we had

back in Halifax here to hold ourselves

onto this morning ball when we got here

the boarding ball didn't have any

bottles on it at all so just kind of

grabbing that big eyelet there and then

throwing some lines on so I can get our

bridle hook but that helped us out a lot

last night riding on 40 knots which is

pretty great way but it's a little bit

rolling in here as you can see it

breakers way out there

features pretty crazy

wash up on the beach and we've been

noticing that cruisers have been a step

up miles seems like a really good idea

so we'll do our part you know we didn't

do too bad collecting garbage nah just

kidding we did a small part but this is

what the cruisers have been collecting

over god I don't know how many weeks I'm

not sure if they even collected I hope

they do well I hope that the Bahamian

government does come and collected or

the Park Rangers because we are part of

the parks though just finishing off

another beautiful day here in the land

and sea park cambridge key and the Exuma

x' it's gorgeous here we've been here

all night long on a morning it was like

rippin 40 nos last night and it was

windy all day today there was no leaving

here plus it's really tricky to get into

this spot there's this like little tight

channel right up against the beach and

we have to do it in high tide and

there's just it wasn't happening today

we'll probably head out tomorrow maybe
