After spending a rolly night at beautiful Hardy Reef we wound our way through the reef systems into the lagoon at Bait Reef. Snorkeling the 'Cluster Of Four'...

previously on s Viserion we dodged
container ships and enjoyed a stonking
sail to Hardy reef then Darrin dived on
below to see what Jim's he could find
well what a beautiful morning after a
bit of a rock and roll night felt like
my my naked bein all scrunched up into
my head or something it was pretty funny
but it's been a gorgeous morning and the
smells dropped out and the wind's
dropped out so we came out here on the
perfect day and we're just gonna go off
to bait reef and check out a place
called the stepping stones but we are in
the middle of nowhere it is beautiful
isn't it my honey oh it's fantastic how
lucky are we
what happened here
well
Niki's amazing little technolon
technological device FeO a twin she
broke it
so we're either playing number two
gazing at Gorillapod
oops here's this week's
pretty funny
now
China dot-com isn't that
is improving because duty with that
should do the trick
since Bailey's dude
that's right anyway seem to some good
vibes
so here we are and we are just traveling
along it is beautiful smooth waters it
is a gorgeous sunny day
I've just been sitting here wondering
how lucky we are
it's so such a good feeling to be out
again on the Great Barrier Reef
it is just as magical as they say we're
in between driving through a whole lot
of reef systems at the moment and we're
about to end up in the middle of a
lagoon
just such special times such special
times hanging out in the middle of
nowhere just starin and I just lovely
anyway we're just coming around the edge
of the lagoon or edges bakery and
I better go in
better get my bot me head on because
we've got bit of a trick to come through
to get in we hazard enough to come
around what they call the stepping
stones and
and then coming to the sort of
quite tight area apparently about what
looks like on the chart and then pick up
a morning we should be happy as clams
and ghosts don't think for me afternoon
be lovely
beautiful day beautiful day
fantastic
the winds drop their promoter
I trace just over there
most inviting a muscle

Beit Reef is about 40 nautical miles
sail east from le beach on the edge of
the Great Barrier Reef
it's best to sail out on an outgoing
tide aiming to reach the reef at noon
which we found provided better
visibility when coming into Lagoon there
are underwater caves Kenyans and
swim-throughs and in some areas shallow
water waves most beautiful hard and soft
corals over large sandy patches we were
excited to discover what lay beneath
these beautiful waters we had a great
welcoming committee over to reef birds
who seemed to be living on a mooring and
a big black giant trevally who monitored
proceedings under the boat
after lunch we took off to explore the
lagoon with its large drop-offs and
beautiful coral waterways

yeah
today we are snorkeling the cluster of
four which mark the entrance into the
lagoon the fish life is plentiful and we
were delighted to see large schools of
bait fish giant trevally reef sharks
cove trout sweet lips and many other
species of fish

was just amazing oh I've never seen so
many fish in one place that you know
dives in a lot of places and that that
really takes the cake it's really really
amazing the variety of fish life it's
just so good it's great that they've
made it a green zone so that a lot of
the fish can actually the species can
actually survive and grow it's just
fantastic and cheeky yeah yeah friendly
as I've certainly got no fear of
snorkels or divers yeah I just think the
