so we made it into Macomb Arena all
right but unfortunately Darrin lost his
wedding ring as he was tying on his
mooring line so he's gonna go down and
see if they can find it
fingers crossed everyone

we had arrived in Makai Harbor just in
time to hide out from ex cyclone penny
and had spent a couple of days
collecting mail and REE provisioning for
our next leg so we're in the marina
we're just dropping our the remaining of
our rubbish up and we're just about to
take off yesterday we're provision that
took us from 10:00 in the morning until
7 o'clock at night so it takes a long
time to provision a bit of a job bit of
a job and yeah bit of a moldy day today
it's gonna be probably 15 to 20 s but
it's alright we're gonna have a bit of a
bash but that's okay yeah Darrin managed
to we managed to retrieve Darrin's
wedding ring which was awesome that was
just amazing he went down and he
couldn't see a thing
there was visibility was about that much
in front of his nose and yeah the ring
had actually sank and to end of the silt
into a silt layer Darrin didn't actually
have a successful time but we came
across this guy Gary who just fabulous
he's a he's a marina diver so he and he
also has a metal detector so he could
come around with his metal detector and
found the ring for us yeah couldn't a
fan or whatever and I just amazing so
yeah how lucky are we because it rings
really special actually we made it up
from some rings from my dad and my
great-aunt so I holds a lot of
sentimental value
anyway we're just gonna have a long hot
share and then take off yeah yeah baby
the coyote she is a carnage is
sanic necessary on 168th : the - the
body is guy
yes good morning we are just
copy that missiles anyone so we just
don't want to your ship coming out of
the High Point coal terminal there
2.2 nautical miles away from us but he's
about one-and-a-half miles away from
crossing our bear so we should we should
just
clear him well he should clear us much
quickly but yeah it's quite interesting
watching that the pilot helicopters just
being out landed on deck and done their
little chinwag he's slowed right down to
about four knots so the helicopter could
land and the helicopters just taken off
about 30 seconds ago or so
and he's slowly starting to speed up
again
it's really interesting watching them
and others and all their tactics
and I hope that he will floor it and
pass it for us and
outercourse that it's quite heavy her
windshield say
terrible by adding
um
it's cold yes thunder that's very what
naughty witnesses get rolling on vibe
maybe things maybe I believe it anyway
we're tripping along
where are they way too curly
just to check it out and see if it
a bearable Anchorage
and it's not there we'll go straight
onto the pier
pull an overnighter
but we currently trying to avoid being
sucked into this
there's a lot of tile pavement
a lot of water moving in and out
become what turbulent no we're being
followed by a seagull
maybe takes it lots of fish and chips on
board
see it's gonna
we're going through a really briny patch
and we're all about 30 knots of breeze
so it's really good we've got the reason
and the dips pretty bad
ready but a little bit of Jebel she's
pulling us along nicely
here in the cockpit but just thinking
how about tight she's really enjoy it
that's pretty cool you know
we're we're fairly comfortable really
considering the condition
it's really kind of an lively being out
in this kind of weather I mean it's
obviously not your optimal sailing where
now we really push you up really nicely
and
see this kind of work it's made a sort
of feeling of exhilaration
and I'm pretty proud that
Derrida dare to go out here on that
little island up to
looking after each other out says cata
with us
it's kind of cool it's a really nice way
to strengthen our relationship
this is really enjoyable being out here
you really know you're alive you know
you're really knowing going on you've
got it going on
on the miles me
ah
well good morning as you might have
touchdown we are in a particularly Rolly
Anchorage this morning but it's
beautiful here there's a reef right
there it's about 100 meters away from us
which is pretty to giving actually
giving us some protection it's just the
swells coming from the east so it's sort
of rolling over the reef at high tide
and then there's a beautiful beach over
here unfortunately we have to take off
now so we haven't got time to to go over
and have a scout around but we're going
out to an even more beautiful place so
I'm really looking forward to that yeah
so we had a pretty poor sleep last night
with the roll but probably only got
about three hours sleep last night so we
both a little bit tired but we've got to
get moving because the weather's about
to close in on us and we just have a
small window of opportunity to get off
to to the Percy's
heading out of the Anchorage we reaped
our way through the garfish cluster with
Tanana Pig Island looking dramatic in
the distance
we motor sailed out through the maze of
islands before we could get our angle
for the Percy's
it's out there my honey quiz
I think I saw a little turtle before

by late afternoon we had dropped anchor
in west bay of the percy Isles we had
set two anchors so down dropped into
check that they had laid out straight
upon deployment good morning after a
fairly uneventful sail from curlew
island years today we've arrived at the
percy isles and all I can say is houston
we have arrived in paradise ha ha ha it
is beautiful here white sandy beaches
and coconuts check it out
mercy Isles has an intriguing history
with West Bay being a favorite Anchorage
for yachties together along its long
sloping Beach
inside the lagoon cello killed vessels
can find an even more protected
Anchorage

it was a delight to walk along a white
sandy beach again to forage for coconuts
and to find a home away from home and a
quirky Hut specifically built to welcome
cruising folk but more about that next
