we left middle Percy Island very early
hoping to do a hundred miles in the
daylight hours but of course you can
swim
[Music]
we just had a fish tank a lure and a
protocol box who's not surprising that
all my gear is crap I feel this floor on
the beach so I had to borrow the Tri
Hulk's from this to put on this captain
I notice we've got a small tear in the
Jenica so I'm just gonna clean it up
with a bit of meth oh this happened I
think on our first
Jenica run with the girls I I didn't
explain probably what to do and we only
left the halyard of the Jenica on the
winch and we're earning along like
really hurling along and then all of a
sudden the top of the sail dropped in
the water and we drove right over the
sail
so that was my fault we should have
cleared it enough I didn't check so that
was a bit of fun on the first day
because we were flying I mean we were
lucky to save the Jenny and all we got
is two little tiny cuts we managed to
winch it out from under the front so
well good so we'll get this up and then
a very slow day sailing
now see that little bit there it
shouldn't be like that but anyway that's
out of trouble why'd you buy you buy
just once you buzz your Bungie that'll
do it
okay now we're getting ready and if no
we
the wind's straight up our bomb we've
got our suddenly change expected in
about five to eight hours so we gotta
try and maximize the use of the Jimmy
for as long as we can before it hits it
should go westerly first though it's not
a drastic thing but I have heard some
stories all I've never experienced that
myself so we can always see but if it
happens at night always a pannier
everything's way more difficult at
nighttime
that's a nice sunset now well the winds
gone west it's time to drive listen to
Phaedra she's getting it good honor
blowin where the win 60 nautical miles
down 20 knots coming this way
we've got we're going somewhere between
8 and 10 knots and we're going to get 20
nautical balls that way before it hit so
the race is on you have to admire fedra
she's one of these amazing people that
will laugh through anything she would be
an ideal person to having a storm she
would made it with her fists her huge
heart and a great sense of humor what a
trouper
what commitment they're ready to pull
the sakai over the jetty well we just
made it to cry careful with about 20
minutes to spare
how good is that bedrock and away from
the way something yeah almost full 24
hours three hours at five o'clock we've
we've relieved
