We absolutely loved sailing channel islands, and although we stopped inVentura for a couple of days, we were ready to continue exploring the Channel islands. We say goodbye to our crew, Nicki, and have a bouncy ride crossing the Santa Barbara Channel before arriving at Little Scorpion anchorage. We wake up to a super calm island anchorage, paddle around to explore the caves and checkout the underwater scene. Then, we head to Fry’s harbor, which is known as one of the most popular spots at the channel islands national park.Once again, we enjoy these remote islands and the deep water anchoring, which bring some extra challenges. We have one our our first boat fails when our anchor has trouble setting properly, explore the remnants of the quarry operation onshore and then wake up to an anchorage full of other boats.
