Greece has achieved an extraordinary success in international sailing, claiming the Optimist World Championship title for the second consecutive year.

Nikolaos Pappas was crowned the 2025 World Champion at the competition held in Portorož, Slovenia.
Following Iason Panagopoulos's victory in 2024, Pappas delivered an exceptional performance to win the gold medal, ensuring the cup remains in Greece.

George Karnavas finished in an excellent 9th place.

Marianna Makri placed 6th in the girls' category.

Detsis and Diagellakis finished 46th and 54th, respectively, in the Gold Fleet.
