Having to stay in the UK for a few months we need to be sure the Camper van which is new to us is working and in tip top condition. The starter battery was old and needed to be changed and when we checked the house battery that was only holding 60% of capacity. We renewed the starter battery and upgraded the house battery to lithium as it was a Black Friday deal we got a bargain 200Ah/2560Wh LiFePO4 battery. Adding a BM712 from Victron and a 1230/12/20 Victron smart charger means we have a great setup with only the solar to add. Here is what we did to the van and yes it was freezing cold!! In 2018 we left the UK to sail around the world slowly. After Brexit, a "Pandemic" and major heart surgery we are still sailing, documenting our travels and showing you what we have learned so far.
We are hoping to complete our journey, and travel right around the world even if we have had a few setbacks along the way. We will continue at our own pace and that may be fast or slow. We want to be sure not to miss anything and have stories to tell our grandchildren when we are old and grey.
